Configuring Your Preferences

  1. Open the Bidroom app and navigate to Settings from the profile menu.
  2. Tap "Notification Preferences" to view all notification categories.
  3. For each category, toggle individual channels (push, email, SMS) on or off.
  4. Set quiet hours during which non-critical push notifications will be silenced.
  5. Configure digest mode to receive a daily or weekly summary email instead of individual notifications.

Recommended Configurations

For Property Owners: Enable push and email for bid activity, project updates, and payments. Enable push only for messages to stay responsive. Disable marketing notifications if preferred.

For Contractors: Enable push for new job matches, bid status updates, and messages. Enable email for payments and project updates. Consider enabling SMS for payment notifications so you never miss a payout confirmation.

For Project Managers: Enable all channels for project updates and messages. Configure digest mode for bid activity to receive a daily summary rather than individual notifications for each bid.

Quiet Hours

Set quiet hours (for example, 9 PM to 7 AM) to silence non-critical push notifications during personal time. Critical notifications like payment failures and security alerts will still come through during quiet hours. Quiet hours only affect push notifications — emails and in-app notifications continue to accumulate silently for review when you are ready.
