Stats Overview (Top Row)

Imported — Total contractor records in the database across all states.
Claimed — Contractors who have claimed their profile and created an account.
Activation — Claim rate (Claimed ÷ Imported).
w/ Email / w/ Phone — Records that have contact info for outreach.
This Month — Profiles claimed in the current calendar month.
Bids / Win Rate — How many bids claimed contractors have placed, and their success rate.

SMS Blast

Send a one-time SMS to contractors in a specific state/trade. Good for announcements or quick outreach tests.

Select a state (required), optionally filter by trade.
Set batch size (max per blast).
The preview shows how many contractors match your filters.
Messages include a personalized claim link with UTM tracking.

Tracking — Open pixels and click tracking use token-verified URLs. UTM attribution records which channel drove each conversion.

How do I create my Bidroom account?

Visit the registration page and select your role (homeowner, contractor, developer, etc.). Fill in your details including name, email, and company information. After verifying your email, you can start posting jobs or browsing available work immediately.

What roles are available on Bidroom?

Bidroom supports multiple roles: Homeowner/Property Owner, General Contractor, Subcontractor, Project Manager, Developer, Skilled Labor, Trade Specialist, and Supplier. Each role has tailored features and access to relevant tools. You can select your role during registration.

How do I navigate the web portal?

Use the sidebar navigation on the left to access different sections. The sidebar is organized by workflow stages: Pre-Construction, Active Construction, Finish & Closeout, and Payments. The dashboard gives you an overview of all your activity. On mobile, use the bottom navigation bar.

Is Bidroom available on mobile?

Yes! Bidroom has a native mobile app available through Expo Go. You can scan the QR code from the landing page to access it on your phone. The web portal is also fully responsive and works great on mobile browsers.

Jobs & Bidding

How do I post a job?

Go to "My Posted Jobs" in the sidebar and click "Post New Job". Fill in the job details including title, description, category, budget range, timeline, and location. You can also use Project Templates to create multi-phase projects with pre-configured job listings for common renovation types.

How does the bidding process work?

Contractors browse available jobs and submit bids with their proposed price, timeline, and approach. Property owners can review all bids, compare AI-scored rankings, and accept the best one. Once a bid is accepted, both parties enter a contract and the project moves to active construction.

What is AI Bid Scoring?

Our AI analyzes each bid based on price competitiveness, contractor ratings, experience, timeline feasibility, and bid completeness. It generates a score from 0-100 to help property owners make informed decisions. The AI also provides specific recommendations and highlights potential risks.

Projects

How do I track project progress?

Navigate to "My Projects" to see all your active projects with progress bars and milestone tracking. Click on any project to see detailed timeline, daily logs, photos, payments, and documents. Contractors can submit daily logs and progress photos directly from their dashboard.

What are daily logs and why are they important?

Daily logs record work performed, crew size, weather conditions, materials used, and any issues encountered each day. They provide a legal record of construction activity and help all parties stay informed about progress. You can also use AI Voice-to-Log to dictate your entries hands-free.

How do change orders work?

Change orders are formal requests to modify the project scope, budget, or timeline. Either party can submit a change order with the reason and cost/time impact. The other party reviews and approves or rejects it. All change orders are tracked and documented for transparency.

Payments

How does escrow work on Bidroom?

Bidroom uses milestone-based escrow payments. When a project starts, the property owner funds escrow for each milestone. When the contractor completes a milestone, they submit it for approval. Once approved, funds are released from escrow to the contractor. This protects both parties.

What payment methods are accepted?

Bidroom accepts credit/debit cards through Stripe, ACH bank transfers, and wire transfers for larger payments. Contractors receive payments via direct deposit to their linked bank account. All transactions are secured and documented for tax purposes.

How do I create and send invoices?

Go to the Invoices section in the Payments & Legal menu. Click "Create Invoice" to generate a new invoice linked to a project. Add line items, set the due date, and send it to the client. You can track invoice status (draft, sent, paid, overdue) from the invoices dashboard.

What AI tools are available?

Bidroom offers AI-powered tools including: Bid Analysis & Scoring, Cost Estimator, Contract Review, Voice-to-Daily Log, Photo Progress Analysis, Contractor Matching, Materials Estimator, Risk Prediction, Compliance Assistant, and more. Access them all from the AI Tools Hub in the sidebar.

How do AI credits work?

Each AI tool usage consumes a fixed number of credits (2 to 16 per use). Your monthly credits scale with your plan: Free (10), Starter (25), Pro (50), Enterprise (200). Credits reset monthly. Need more? Purchase credit packs anytime — purchased credits never expire. Check your credit balance in the AI Tools Hub.

Can AI generate cost estimates?

Yes! The AI Cost Estimator analyzes your project details, location, and scope to generate detailed cost breakdowns. It considers current material prices, labor rates for your area, and project complexity. Estimates include line items for materials, labor, permits, and contingency.

Account

How do I update my profile?

Go to Account Settings in the Support section of the sidebar. Here you can edit your name, email, phone, company, and bio. For contractors, you can also manage your portfolio, certifications, and insurance information from the My Profile section.

How do I earn rewards and referral bonuses?

Earn Bidroom Points by completing projects, leaving reviews, referring friends, and using the platform regularly. Refer contractors or property owners using your unique referral link - you earn bonus points when they sign up and complete their first transaction. Check the Rewards section to track your points.

How do I contact support?

You can reach our support team by emailing support@bidroom.com, using the AI Chat Assistant (click the chat bubble in the bottom right), or by calling our support line during business hours. We typically respond to emails within 24 hours.

CrewCommand

What is CrewCommand?

CrewCommand is Bidroom's built-in workforce management system. It provides GPS-enabled clock-in/out, crew management, task assignments, daily logs, time tracking, and analytics — all in one place. Access it from the sidebar under "CrewCommand" or from the "Crews" quick action on your dashboard. Available for Owners, Contractors, Project Managers, and Skilled Labor roles.

How do I create and manage crews?

Go to CrewCommand > My Crews and click "New Crew". Enter a crew name (required), specialty (e.g., Electrical, Plumbing), and description. Once created, add team members by searching for users, assign projects to crews, and designate crew leaders. Each crew gets its own color for easy identification. On the mobile app, use the Crews tab and tap "New Crew".

How does GPS clock-in/out work?

When you tap "Clock In" in CrewCommand, select your active project and the app captures your GPS coordinates automatically (location permission required). Your location is recorded with each time entry so supervisors can verify workers are on the correct job site. Clock-out also records GPS. The web version works without GPS as a fallback. Supervisors can view GPS data in the Time Tracking dashboard.

How do I assign and track tasks?

From the Task Board in CrewCommand, click "Assign Task" to create tasks with title, description, priority (urgent/high/medium/low), due date, and assign to a worker or crew. Workers see tasks in their mobile Tasks tab and can mark them started or completed. Supervisors verify completed work. The kanban board shows 4 columns: Assigned, In Progress, Completed, and Verified. Bulk assignment is also available.

How do daily logs and time approvals work?

Workers submit daily logs from the "Daily Log" tab capturing project, work performed, materials used, hours worked, safety incidents, and notes. Supervisors review these from the enterprise portal. For time tracking, all clock-in/out entries appear in Time Tracking where supervisors can filter by date/crew/worker and approve or reject entries. Analytics show hours by crew, top performers, and completion rates — useful for payroll and cost tracking.

Contractor Website Builder

How do I create my contractor website?

Navigate to "My Website" in the sidebar. AI generates your website content based on your contractor profile, specialties, and portfolio. Choose from three professional templates: Modern (clean and minimal), Bold (striking and high-contrast), or Classic (traditional and trustworthy). Your site includes sections for services, portfolio, testimonials, about, and contact information. The website is live as soon as you create it.

Can I use my own domain name?

Yes! By default your site is at bidroom.io/pro/your-business. To use a custom domain (e.g., acmeconstruction.com), go to Website Settings and enter your domain. Add a CNAME record pointing to Bidroom in your domain registrar's DNS settings. SSL certificates are handled automatically via Cloudflare. DNS propagation typically takes 24-48 hours.

How do I manage website leads?

Your website includes a built-in contact form. When visitors submit it, you get a notification and the lead appears in your Website Leads dashboard. Track page views, form submissions, and conversion rates. Respond to leads quickly from within Bidroom to maximize conversions. All lead data is stored securely and can be exported.

Design Sheets & Finish Schedules

What are Design Sheets?

Design Sheets are customizable checklists for tracking all design decisions and finish selections in your construction projects. Based on project type (kitchen remodel, bathroom, new build, etc.), Bidroom generates a comprehensive list of items needing specification — from cabinet styles to hardware finishes. Each item tracks status (pending, selected, ordered, installed), budget, and supplier.

How does the AI Finish Schedule Generator work?

The AI Finish Schedule Generator creates complete finish schedules based on room type, budget level, and style preferences. It suggests specific materials, colors, and products for every surface and fixture. You can customize the generated schedule, adjust budgets, and export it as a PDF. This tool uses AI credits from your subscription plan (Starter, Pro, or Enterprise).

Contractor Directory & Featured Listings

How do I search the Contractor Directory?

Go to "Contractor Directory" in the sidebar. Search by name, specialty, or location. Filter results by rating, license status, verification level, and availability. Each contractor profile shows license details, insurance status, portfolio, reviews, and verification badges. You can contact contractors directly through the platform or save them to favorites. The directory includes both registered Bidroom contractors and imported license board data.

What are Featured Listings?

Featured Listings give your jobs and contractor profile premium visibility across the platform. Featured jobs appear at the top of search results with a highlighted badge, reaching more qualified contractors. Featured contractor profiles get priority placement in the directory and matching results. Purchase upgrades from your job or profile settings. Featured status lasts 30 days and can be renewed.

How do I claim my contractor profile?

If your business appears in the directory from a license board import, find your listing and click "Claim This Profile". Verify your identity by confirming your license number and business email. Once claimed, you can update your bio, add portfolio photos, set service areas, and receive leads directly. Claimed profiles rank higher in search results and display a verified badge.

How does the Referral Program with tiered rewards work?

Share your unique referral link or QR code. When new users sign up and complete their first transaction, you earn rewards based on 6 budget-based tiers: $1K-$5K earns $99 + 1.25%, $5K-$25K earns $149 + 1.0%, $25K-$50K earns $199 + 0.75%, $50K-$100K earns $249 + 0.5%, $100K-$500K earns $349 + 0.35%, and $500K+ earns $500 + 0.25%. Track referrals and payouts from the Referral Dashboard. Referral banners appear across the job board, directory, and project pages.
