Account Security

Protecting Your Bidroom Account

Your Bidroom account contains sensitive information including project details, financial data, and personal information. Maintaining strong security practices protects you from unauthorized access and potential fraud. This guide covers password management, recognizing suspicious activity, and steps to take if you suspect your account has been compromised.

Password Best Practices

Resetting Your Password

  1. Tap "Forgot Password" on the login screen.
  2. Enter the email address associated with your Bidroom account.
  3. Check your email for a password reset link (check spam folder if not received within 5 minutes).
  4. Click the link and create a new strong password following the best practices above.
  5. Log in with your new password on all devices where you use Bidroom.

Recognizing Suspicious Activity

Warning SignWhat to Do
Login from unknown location or deviceChange password immediately and review recent account activity
Bids or messages you did not sendContact support immediately to lock your account
Payment method changes you did not makeContact support and your bank or card issuer immediately
Email asking for your password or login detailsNever share credentials — Bidroom will never ask for your password via email
Unexpected notification of a password changeIf you did not initiate this, contact support immediately to regain access

Two-Factor Authentication

We strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) for your account. When enabled, logging in requires both your password and a verification code sent to your phone. Enable 2FA in Settings > Security > Two-Factor Authentication. This dramatically reduces the risk of unauthorized access even if your password is compromised.

If Your Account Is Compromised

Contact Bidroom support immediately through the Help Center or email security@bidroom.io. We will temporarily lock your account, reset your credentials, review recent activity for unauthorized transactions, and help you regain secure access. If financial information was exposed, contact your bank or card issuer to monitor for fraudulent charges.
